Help make worship happen each week. Serve as a reader or communion assistant, or share your voice by singing with the choir. Whether you participate regularly or occasionally, each role is an important part of our worship together.

Fellowship & Events

Some of the best connections at St. John happen around a table. Help with Sunday fellowship, potlucks and special events, or lend a hand with refreshments, setup, or cleanup. Whether you bring something to share or simply help things come together, there’s a place for you.

Serving Our Community

Put faith into action by serving our neighbors. Help with our monthly Houseless Hub, where St. John works alongside community partners to provide resources and support to our houseless neighbors. You can also participate in Social Ministry projects, donation drives, special collections, and other opportunities to respond when needs arise, both here on O'ahu and beyond.

There are opportunities to help throughout the year, whether you can give a few hours, contribute needed items, or lend a hand with a special project.

Children & Youth

Help create opportunities for children and youth to learn, grow, serve, and build relationships. Volunteers support education, youth activities, special events, and opportunities to connect with other young people and congregations across O'ahu.

Caring for St. John

Much of what keeps St. John going happens behind the scenes. Help count the weekly offering, lend a hand with campus and property projects, participate in work days, or help with the practical needs that arise around our church and campus.

Leadership & Representation

Help shape the life and ministry of St. John by serving on Church Council or representing our congregation in the wider church community.

Council members help guide the congregation’s ministry, priorities, and future. Members of St. John also serve with the O'ahu Hukilau and OYEA, helping connect our congregation with other Lutheran congregations and ministries across the island.

You don’t need previous church leadership experience. Bring your perspective, your questions, and your care for St. John.
